Term 4 Week 1

On Saturday I went to my friend Tayla's House.

When i first got there we played tiger fight, for dinner we had BK i had a stunner meal, i had a cheese burger, chocolate sundae and for my drink we had L&P. 

We watched a movie called Prince of Persia witch are one of my favorite movies now. 

We stayed up till 4:00, we felt really tired so we went to bed at 4:01. 

In the morning Tayla's mum Amy git up at either 1:00, 2:00 or 3:00. We had breakfast at lunchtime we had cereal, for the cereal we had nutagrain, also we had pancakes. 

We watch Prince of Persia again, when my dad came to pick me up me and Tayla were making pancakes but when my dad said i could stay i bit longer. 

After the movie we played a game when i was a girl and Tayla was a dog, and i really wanted to buy Tayla for the dog but the predant mum said no your buying this one, witch was the toy dog.

For dinner we had fish n' chips, i had chips and a burger.

for the movie we watch Annie, the movie was neally done but my mum came.

I went at 6:00, i still had my burger but i did not finish it.

It was REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY FUN at Tayla's house.

Te Tuhi Trip Recount

Trip to Te Tuhi recount plan

Last Thursday the year 4s went to Te tuhi, which is near the plaza. We went to te tuhi to learn about matiriki. We made vertical gardens out of bottles. We were invided to make vertical gardens so they can display them in the foyer.

First, we saw the 4 holes on the bottle the we drawed over the line and then when we were done drawing over the lines we cut along the vivid lines.

Next we decorated the bottles with yellow and orange stickers or we drawed on the  with the bottle, we uesd matiki/eviromint words.

Then we filled our bottles with pummies then we put soil then we got to pick our own plants.

After that we played hangman and we uesd matiriki words and we were wating for the others to put the  pummies,soil and pick there plants.

Finally we looked at the artwork in the foyer that the other year 5s did, then we looked at the splats of colours that machet parts of the gallery.

Overall, i thought it was veary cool making the verical gardens out of bottles.

My favroit part was when i was decorating my bottle because it was creative.

i'm looking forwed to
going to the opening to look at the final artworks.

My Reflection 

I was learning about 3D shapes. I had to had to name the shapes and the faces, edges and the corners. I thought is was hard but actually is was really easy. My next step is to do more geometry math

Explanation Writing How to make a clay windchimes

My Reflection

I was learning to write a clear explanation for an audience. I had to make a brainstorm and a writing frame. I thought you had to pick a video and write about it and it was just like explantion writing 2 because i liked both of the explantion writing 1&2.

My next step is to write more explantion writings.

Term 3 Week 3

This week Year 4, 5 and 6s have been doing Cross Country. 
We do cross country on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
At cross country when you run really fast you get a really bad stitches in your tummy.
We start at the shade area and then we do our two laps. 
When you run really fast when your running you get stitches and you can't run really fast.
We run on a bridge and we go in the ally way, The ally way is really squished up and you don't get that much space too run properly.
My aim is to run all the way but sometimes I walk because i get tired because running gets really tiring.
Next time I am going to try run all the way.

Chapter 2- Kensuke's kindom

My Reflation 

I was learning how to use diagrams and labels to understand and interpret information.  We had to research facts about one of the animals that Michael and his family saw.  I chose the porpoise because I hadn’t heard of it before.  Now I know it’s like a dolphin.  It was easy to find the information I needed to complete the diagram.  I think it’s easier to understand a diagram than it is to read about it.  My next step is to use diagrams when I need to explain something.

My Reflection
I was learning to write an explanation. I had to write a brainstorm how to make the milkshake then explanation writing framework. I thought it was just like the explanation writing 1 because i liked the video and the games. I thought it was gonna be hard because it looked hard when i looked at the task but it was easy for me. My next step is to write more explanation writing.
